QUILTING B's CHAPTER NEWS: DECEMBER 2011
December was a busy month for the B's. We collected the charity quilts and added our labels to them. On December 6th, we donated 22 quilts to each of the following charities: Sumter County Sheriff's office, Guardian ad Litum, and the Lady Lake Elementary School.
Lady Lake Elementary identified a family for our Christmas gifts. Judy and Jackie went shopping and we wrapped the gifts on December 20. We included quilts for each of the three family members with our gifts.
December 13, we entertained the Piecemakers for a Christmas brunch. Lots of good food, show-and-tell, and interchange between our two chapters.
Our current blotto is blocks for a quilt for Jeanine Haller's son who is recovering from a liver transplant.
Our next major event will be Feb. 14-16, when we will again have our retreat at the Methodist Center in Fruitland park. If you haven't registered, better do it now. The retreat is always a lot of fun.
