There was a discussion about how to raise funds making items for the 2013 boutique.
Carolyn Heald will be here every Tuesday in July to collect money for the fall Guild retreat.
June 21
Alice: There is a bottle cap collection for boy scouts. Fabric Fun is using these.
Mary Elizabeth is collecting pieces of soap for Clean the World.
The ice cream for the July Guild meeting is from Ollie's.
There is a bus trip available for shopping in Orlando.
Carol Schroeder has dropped off fabric - side panels and a sample of a drape panel. Each chapter will be decorating a side panel.
We have purchased an Accuquilt machine.
Discussion: Who should have keys to the storage room?
John Crane will quilt the cabin comfort quilts for $25 each. We will supply the batting and backing, he will supply the thread.

Alice: we have the Neptune Room for next year.
• The pizza boxes with the blocks for the 2013 raffle quilt were handed out at the executive board meeting.
• The drape fabric is in the closet waiting to be ironed and stitched.
• Ellen showed a pin cushion on a golf tee as a possible boutique item.
• We need to have a demo to learn how to use the Accuquilt
• A vendor expo for alternate years (to the quilt show) has been proposed at the Executive Board Meeting. It would be held for two days (Jan 21, 22 2012) at the Savannah
Center - proposed name: Quilt Guild of the Villages Marketplace Event.
• Alice asked that we weigh in on the proposed guild by-laws changes. 11 people so far have responded.
• McCall's Tavern has asked the guild to participate in an art show there on July 24 from 12 - 4 PM. They also would like a quilt demo the following Wednesday. Asking for
participants.
• We have been invited to attend the Sunset Pointe fall retreat.
Brenda: discussion about how to deliver the comfort quilts to the cabin girls. These need to be finished by October 1st so Mary Elizabeth's husband can quilt them. A discussion followed as to how many we have and who is making them (sign up list circulated).
Retreat update: we have 28 people (full). We have one person on the waiting list.

• 2nd deposit - Feb 14 (30%)
• 3rd deposit - Mar 13 (60%)
Classes so far include paper piecing and a prairie point Christmas tree.
Carol: went over list for rope baskets (June 5 meeting). An email had been sent.
Mary Ann: Went over July 5 Guild meeting events and told of classes being offered (on the bulletin board).
Barb Connolly will call about availability for the Sept 23rd Senior Adventures trip to QuiltFest in Jacksonville.
Anne S: November 15 bus trip to Suwannee Valley holds 47 people.We have 20 people so far. September 1st will be the deadline to sign up for this.
Anne S. suggested us participating in the National Quilt Museum (Paducah) BOM for 2013 (Jacob's Ladder). These are quilts made from tradition blocks in a new setting. The info is on their website. http://www.quiltmuseum.org/new-quilts-old-favorites.html The size limit is 40" X 40"
